The size question in electronics
A photo does not show how big a device really is, or where the ports sit. A model scaled to your real dimensions lets shoppers check the footprint. Shiny and dark surfaces are harder for photo-based 3D, so we treat electronics as a pilot: send us a product and we will say honestly whether it works.
What shoppers cannot see today
- Rear panels and port layouts are rarely photographed, and they decide the purchase.
- Rack and shelf fit is a hard constraint that a hero shot cannot answer.
- Comparable products look identical in photos and differ substantially in person.
Capturing electronics well
- Matte black plastic is one of the harder surfaces - bright, even light from several directions is essential.
- Manufacturer CAD models are common in this category; upload them and skip capture entirely.
- Glossy screens and brushed metal need diffused light, never a bare flash.
We tell you which of your products will not reconstruct well before you spend a credit on them. Full capture guide.
Electronics shoppers already research obsessively. Giving them a model to rotate answers the physical questions your spec sheet cannot, and removes the reason to go and look at it in a shop instead.
